Sadly, we all woke up to a totally new World with the corona virus pandemic. Lives are being lost at an alarming rate and our way of life has been put on hold.
Over the last few weeks, more countries are taking action to manage and mitigate the impact of the corona virus. Probitas Partners LLP being part of a global community is acutely concerned about the surge of the said virus from the time it came to our notice, especially since the first recorded case in Nigeria, in late February. We have been monitoring the issue at the international, national and state levels.
So far, we have been able to continue to carry out our Clients’ instructions, whilst also modifying our corporate culture despite the current unprecedented challenges. The health and safety of our Clients, Members and the general public remains a priority.
The Federal Government and Lagos State Government seem to be making efforts to isolate known cases, test, treat and trace whomever the identified cases have been in contact with. They have also issued the following far-reaching directives to contain the spread of the virus, amongst others:
- Initial 14 days cessation of movements in the F.C.T., Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States (save for essential service providers) from 30th March, 2020;
- All the airports in Nigeria have been closed to all international passenger flights for one month, effective from 23rd March, 2020; and,
- All Federal and State Courts have suspended sittings for a period of 14 (fourteen) days effective from 24th March, 2020, except for urgent matters and already scheduled judgments and rulings.
Consequently, we have designed measures to effectively comply with the said directives in the interest of our Members, esteemed Clients and the society, whilst we continue to provide seamless services to our Clients remotely via email, telephone and other electronic means. We are dedicated to maintaining our service standards bearing in mind that engagement with most government and regulatory agencies will be affected by the above mentioned restrictions.
You may contact our Partners and Members via their emails and mobile phones, or email us at info@probitaspartnersllp.com if you require assistance or have any questions.
We implore you to stay safe and stay healthy
Thank you.
