Kazim is a versatile commercial lawyer who has developed expertise in various aspects of law including conveyance, insolvency, maritime, Islamic finance, intellectual property, aviation, family and succession. He is a co-founder and Partner at the Firm.

As a commercial lawyer, he has advised clients on a considerable number of high value transactions. He is conversant with the negotiation of conveyance and development contracts, and entertainment and intellectual property contracts. He manages the regulatory compliance requirements of several local and international firms. Kazim is a competent negotiator who has negotiated a wide range of complex local and international transactions across different industries.

Kazim led the development of the Firm’s legal competence in Islamic finance and heads our Islamic finance unit. He has handled several high profile transactions with pioneer Islamic finance institutions in Nigeria such as Lotus Capital Limited, Jaiz Bank Plc., Kord Capital Limited, Islamic Banking Units of Stanbic I.B.T.C. Bank Plc. and Sterling Bank Plc. He also manages nominee service functions on behalf of various companies.
